Tout simplement parce que cette chanson est terriblement belle et comme ancrée en moi. L'une des plus magnifiques du groupe selon mon opinion (même si vous remarquerez que le titre du blog porte un autre succées des cure "Lullaby" =D). A savourer....

_Bauhaus - Hollow hills.

Surement la chanson qui m'a le plus marqué de Bauhaus. Peut-être même celle qui m'a fait me pencher sur le groupe. S'il est clair qu'Hollow hills est une des chansons les plus "mystérieuses" du goupe, il faut reconnaitre que l'ambiance qui se dégage est juste ... sublime. On se laisse simplement brecer par les paroles, la mélodie, et la voix unique du très charismatique Peter Murphy.

Le groupe rock gothique Bauhaus est fondé en 1978 à Northampton en Angleterre.Son premier single, Bela Lugosi's Dead sort en 79 et devient un hymne gothique. L'année suivante, le groupe enregistre son deuxième single, Dark Entries, puis son troisième, Terror Couple Kill Colonel, qui devient un hit dans les charts anglais. Bauhaus sort son premier album, In The Flat Field, en 1980. Le disque est un succès avec les singles Kick In The Eye et The Passion of Lovers.
Une légende du rock gothique
L'année suivante, la formation enregistre son deuxième album, Mask, à la fois métal et électronique. C'est un succès commercial. Avant de sortir son troisième album, The Sky's Gone Out en 1982, Bauhaus fait encore parler de lui avec la reprise de David Bowie, Ziggy Stardust. Peter Murphy contracte une pneumonie qui l'empêche d'enregistrer l'album Burning From The Inside. C'est Daniel Ash et David Jay qui le remplacent à cette occasion. Après la tournée et la promotion de l'album, Bauhaus se sépare.
De retour sur scène
En 1985, David Ash, Kevin Haskins et David Jay proposent à Peter Murphy de reformer Bauhaus mais celui-ci refuse. Il faut attendre 1998 pour voir le groupe à nouveau réuni sur scène pour une tournée exceptionnelle. En 2008, le groupe revient avec l'album Go Away White.
